About Sudokuwu

Sudokuwu is a free daily puzzle site built around three logic games — Sudoku, Queens, and Shape Link — all reimagined with a cast of nine cute-art creatures standing in for the usual digits and numbers. No account, no download, no fees: open the site and start solving.

Why creatures instead of numbers?

Traditional Sudoku uses the digits 1 through 9, but there's nothing magical about the numerals themselves — what matters is that each of the nine symbols is easy to tell apart at a glance. Sudokuwu swaps the digits for nine cute-art creatures, each also tinted with its own soft pastel color. That gives solvers two independent ways to recognize a symbol — its shape and its color — which makes scanning a busy board a little friendlier on the eyes, especially for newer players still building up pattern recognition. The same creature set carries over into Queens and Shape Link, so once you know the cast, you know it everywhere on the site.

Three games, one board

Sudoku is the classic 9×9 grid: fill every row, column, and 3×3 box with one of each creature. Sudokuwu's rotary dial input (tap and drag from a cell to pick a creature) is built for quick play on a touchscreen, and it doubles as a pencil-mark tool for tracking candidates.

Queens is a region-based placement puzzle: place one creature in every colored region so that no two share a row, column, or touch diagonally — no chess knowledge required, just careful elimination.

Shape Link is Sudokuwu's newest mode: drag a path between each pair of matching creatures so that every path together covers the entire grid with no gaps and no crossings.

A new puzzle every day

Each game mode publishes one fresh daily puzzle at every difficulty (easy, medium, hard), shared by every player that day — solve it and share your time with friends via the built-in share button. Want more? Generate an unlimited number of practice puzzles at any difficulty, any time, with the "New practice puzzle" button — practice puzzles don't affect your daily result and can be restarted freely.

Built to be simple

Sudokuwu is intentionally a small, focused site: three games, a light and dark theme, and nothing else competing for your attention. It's designed mobile-first — every board scales to fit a phone screen without scrolling — and works the same whether you're on a laptop or a bus. There's no sign-up, no tracking beyond what's needed to serve the site and, where enabled, standard ad delivery — see the Privacy Policy for details.
